Blackburn G & S Society

The Blackburn branch of the Gilbert and Sullivan Society has been a committed supporter of the theatre trust from day one. Having rehearsed in the foyer of the old cinema, prior to any restoration, their rent helped to keep the dream alive.

The society is also committed to keeping theatre alive in Blackburn. Now with fundraising and sponsorship well established, and the theatre now a real going concern, not a pipe dream, they remain committed.

The 'backbone' of the theatre volunteer force is provided by their members. They rehearse in the theatre and perform their annual performance here. Not only taking part in the concerts and fundraising, they spring clean, maintain and use the wonderful facilities of the theatre and it's suite of rehearsal rooms.
