Centenary Gala Dinner
Fundraiser and Theatre Director, Michael Berry will announce ambitious plans to 'Raise the Roof' when he takes the stage on Wednesday 1st April at the annual Open Evening of the Thwaites Empire Theatre.
Michael and his team including his wife, Linda Berry are credited as being the driving force in fundraising in getting the finance together to get the theatre through the renovation process and in a position to trade again as entertainment venue in 2002.
Michael was also the brains behind the 'Rogues' Gallery' Campaign which raised the finance for the theatre to rebuild the balcony, extending the theatre seating capacity to 330.
Now, Michael is staging a sumptuous Centenary Gala Dinner with VIP Celebrities and special guests at Ewood Park on 6 March 2010 when 100 'birthday gifts' will be auctioned and raffled to raise the £100K necessary to fund the repairs necessary to the Capita Performing Arts Centre and theatre complex.
