High Hopes for Sarah!

A 17 year old opera singer in training will be starring in Blackburn next month at the Thwaites Empire Theatre.

Sarah Chew from Clitheroe is debuting in her first principal role with Blackburn Musical Theatre Company, in the part of Hope Harcourt in the production of Anything Goes which opens on Bank Holiday Monday 4th May.

As Head Girl of the Girls' Choir at Blackburn Cathedral she has been on tours to Prague, Vienna and America. 

Sarah has been on Songs of Praise with Aled Jones and this will be her 4th Show following her appearance in 'Chess' with Clitheroe Operatic and Dramatic Society in February.  Gary Worthy, chair of Blackburn Musical Theatre Company said that Sarah has been a delight to work with and is sure that audiences will be stunned by Sarah's singing voice which will certainly do justice to the wonderful music of Cole Porter.
