THEATRE G.O.'S GO ON TOUR!
Fresh from their success on stage at the Thwaites Empire Theatre - the G.O.s go on tour. The Golden Oldies, or the G.O.s are a song and dance concert party of members aged 50+ based at the Thwaites Empire Theatre.
They are taking to the road with BBC Radio Lancashire's Simply Come Dancing roadshow of dance workshops starting on Monday 2nd November.
The dance workshop events will be led by a qualified dance teacher and are aimed at people of all ages and abilities and are completely free to take part in.
The sessions are just 20 minutes long and include simple light exercise steps performed to music from the popular BBC1 ballroom dancing programme hosted by Bruce Forsyth. Anybody who signs up on the day to join in with the workshops will have their details put into a prize draw to win a guaranteed seat in the audience at the live television show at Blackpool Tower on Saturday 7th November.
BBC Radio Lancashire's John Gillmore will be broadcasting live from each dance event.
The workshops will be held between 11am and 3pm on the following dates:
Monday 2 November, West View Leisure Centre, Preston
Tuesday 3 November, All Seasons Leisure Centre, Chorley
Wednesday 4 November, Gregson Community & Arts Centre, Lancaster
Thursday 5 November, Fusion Dance Studio, Blackpool
Friday 6 November, Burnley Mechanics, Foyer
