Showbiz Gossip - The word on 'The Street'
The Thwaites Empire Theatre's patron Anthony Valentine is starring on the small screen once again in the popular soap, Coronation Street.
Have you spotted him yet?
He walked onto the cobbles on Monday 2 November as George, the maternal grandfather of little 5 year old Simon, the son of Peter Barlow.
There's a link between the two off screen - as the boy actor is also a resident dance student at the theatre, our very own Alexander Bain - probably also best known in the Snap, Crackle and Pop Ricecrispies Ads.
Our other link to the street of course is that Gail Tilsley's late first husband Brian is starring in our pantomime this year - the actor Chris Quinten.
